Every year we host a summer picnic to show our appreciation to those who have made contributions to the Museum over the previous year. It is a chance to thank our members, volunteers, donors and contributors for their continued support. Each year we also honour a special volunteer for going above and beyond. This year John Curry was the recipient of our Heritage Advocacy Award. His name was added to the plaque which hangs in the Museum and he was given an engraved pocket watch.
