New York rising: 12 years since 9/11

Yahoo News photographer Gordon Donovan returned this week to the scenes of many memorable images taken on September 11, 2001, closely matching them with images from today. Since then, new obstacles have arisen, requiring some adjustments in camera angles to align with photographs taken on the day of the attacks. The Waltons, as silly as it may seem, I owe some of my well being to this show. Growing up in the 70's tragedy fell upon my family and it got real tough at times. I rarely missed an episode of this show and learned a lot about over coming obstacles and family values from the show's content.
