worldpaintings: Pablo Picasso Child with Dove, 1901, oil on canvas, 73 x 54 cm, London. One of the artist’s earliest works - painted when he was around 19 - is to go on sale. The painting worth around £50m ($79m) is most likely to go abroad - a foreign purchaser is already interested. Child and Dove is privately owned by the Aberconway family in Wales. It can now be seen at Tate Britain as part of its current Picasso exhibition.source
