This 1934 ensemble, comprised of dress, vest, apron, and belt, is unusual in its completeness and variety of elements. The culture is identified as Yugoslavian. The name (which means "land of south Slavs") was formally adopted in 1929 for the post-World War I Balkan region known as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes.
