It is with great sadness that we have to tell you about the passing of our friend, Tim Johnson. He passed away this past Sunday after a long, courageous, battle with that UGLY thing we call Cancer. He was the man behind some of the most powerful country music songs written in the past few decades. He even helped our friend Derek Sholl Official write his hit song "When They Come Back," which was the inspiration behind our Boot Campaign tag line, "When They Come Back we GIVE back!" RIP…
Today we lost a country music legend, one of the greatest honky tonk singers of all time and a huge Boot Campaign and Military supporter. George Jones passed away this morning. You may not have known this but George is a former Marine and served during the Korean War. Shortly after he was discharged he started his music career. RIP George! Thank you for your service to our country. We will miss you and you will forever remain in our hearts.
George Jones (Sept 12, 1931 – April 26, 2013) was an American country music singer known for his distinctive voice & phrasing, and his marriage to Tammy Wynette. His wild lifestyle led to missed performances & the nickname "No Show Jones." He was sober for more than the last 10 years of his life.
