A LOUIS XV STYLE CARVED GILTWOOD FIRE SCREEN 19TH CENTURY upholstered à châssis with heavily embroidered silk panel worked in polychrome silk and silver metal thread, probably French or Italian, circa 1700.
A fine Régence period carved wood and Beauvais tapestry firescreen. The central Beauvais tapestry depicting Vulcan, the God of Fire seated on a plinth surrounded by flowers and parrots, set within an outer carved scrolling wood frame decorated with shells and acanthus leaves.
