It’s very seldom that you’ll see tombs sculpted from rocks. One outstanding example of tombs of this kind is the Essaqwand Rock Tombs of Iran. These rock-hewn tombs are situated 25 km southwest of Harsin in Kermanshah, Iran. These tombs are believed to contain the remains of important figures of the Seleucid, Medes, Parthian and Achaemenid eras.
