Secret Garden by Eileen. "This wonderful gateway to a secret garden is located at a conference center called Airlie in Warrenton, Virginia. In the Spring it was a riot of color with pink cherry blossoms and many kinds of flowering plants. We had a nice snow last week but you would never know it from this picture which was taken yesterday."

Miniature Garden, Fairy Door, Gnome Door, Hobbit Door, Elf Door, Troll Door. 7" tall Forest door garden kit.

I wonder if we could do a design like this but actually use stones and concrete to stick them together. Would be one of the more permanent houses we ever made for May Day. The carved clay is a good idea too though. Much easier. Each kid could build a floor.

Spirit House. It would be amazing to come across this little gem in a wooded area.

fairy door...why do I think of Pan's Labyrinth?

My niece believes in fairies. Seriously. "If you put up a fairy door," she says, "a fairy will move in!" So, I am making Fairy Doors in the studio. Will post photos in process and as they are completed.

These fairy houses and scenes remind me so much of my Grammy (dad's mom) who had an affinity for all things elf and fairy! Not to mention she had a green thumb. Wish I had the patience and time to create such wonderful fantasy.
