They were notable for having a female MC, and were the 1st rap group to perform live on a national television broadcast and the 1st to receive a recording deal. The group's most significant hit was the 9-minute That's the Joint, which is one of VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop. Their other hits include the almost-16-minute Rappin' and Rockin' The House, and Jazzy Jeff's recording of King Heroin.
