Dedicated to bringing into bellydance the theoretical, historical, & compositional knowledge she has gained in her academic study & to helping people understand the potential bellydance has for thoughtful self expression, community formation, & challenging of social convention. Certified Hot Pot Improvisational Tribal Style instructor.
Ansuya- former BDSS. Golden Belly Award (3x), Best Cabaret Bellydancer of the Year Award from the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance. Model and actress. Daughter & protege of renowned pioneer of American style Bellydance, Jenaeni Rathor. Creator of an eclectic style fusing Bellydance with Indian, African, Spanish, Gypsy, Tribal, Cabaret, Egyptian, Hip Hop, & Burlesque flavors.
Aubre Hill (LA)- former BDSS. International star, master teacher & choreographer with training in Raks Sharqi, Fusion, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Pilates, & Folk dance. She is the artistic director of the Lumina Bellydance Co (known for their Fosse fusion work & other diverse stylings) & the new group Qabila Folkdance Company (focusing on folk dances of the Arab world).
