camp-this could be turned into a christmas ornament

Doing this at my daughter's daycare along with an interactive story reading of Stuck by Oliver Jeffers :) Will have the kids put things in the tree like in the book.

Make It: Roll textured brown cardstock into a cone shape and secure with a brown brad. Crumble a piece of tissue paper into a ball, and help your child tape strips of colorful patterned paper around it. Attach to the cone. Use red buttons and a little hemp string for a perfect cherry topper.

This is an excellent idea for kids to do during Thanksgiving! You could also add a personal twist by changing the wording from "thankful" to the child's name and have them use black ink for their finger prints. This would be a wonderful keepsake to frame for their rooms!

use for color wheel designs: watercolor apple tree...could do this during unit on apples or the 4 seasons (create 4 plates, decorating tree for each season). K-1 lesson.

This is a perfect craft for a kid that has shown interest in the fish tank. My little dude found an awesome fish tank at a restaurant last week and was fascinated. Making out own at home would definitely be a hit with him right now.
