Amer. woman in a major film (Zouzou, 1934). Awarded the Croix de guerre & the Rosette de la Résistance, & was made a Chevalier of the Légion d'honneur for her efforts on France's behalf during WW2. Spoke at the March on Washington in 1963 alongside MLK.
