    Mt. Everest, Nepal. I do not want to climb it, but I would love to see it up close, and maybe even climb to the base camp.

    Everest. Buddhists believe a goddess lives in the mountain and she decides who summits, who doesn't, who makes it down safely, and who doesn't. She doesn't take kindly to big egos or those who try to "conquer" her. Humble respect always.

    We biked from Lhasa Tibet to Kathmandu Nepal and along the way we stayed one night at the Rongbuk Monestary which is about 8km from the Tibetan side Everest base camp. Took this shot just as night was drawing near as the top of Everest was lit up by alpenglow.

    Standing at about 29,029 feet (8,848 meters), Everest boasts the top spot for the tallest mountain in the world. It is located on the border between Sagarmatha Zone, Nepal, and Tibet, China and is part of the Himalayan Mountain Range.

    Everest ~ I have so much respect for those who attempt and those who succeed climbing to the summit. I do not wish to climb the mountain, but I would like to see it in person.
