There are 32 springs on the property, and several feed the manmade pool and the natural pool which flows into Lake Travis. The Texas Hill Country has much to offer. Westcave Preserve is a great example of this. Just past Hamilton Pool only 27 miles from downtown Austin, this lush hidden gem turns green in the spring with ferns and cypress. The steps in this Westcave Preserve image lead up to an outlook that rests behind the 40 foot waterfall (more of a trickle on most occassions). Still, it is cool and green - a nice break on a hot Texas summer day.
