These cream scones will make a scone lover of anyone who tries them. Flakey, rich, and flavorful, with a hot milky coffee, makes for a perfect morning.

Bacon Cheddar Scones 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 t baking powder,1/4 t baking soda,1/2 t salt, 8 T unsalted butter, frozen,1/2 c sour cream,1 large egg,1 c shredded cheddar cheese,1/2 pound bacon, cooked, cooled, and chopped,2 T finely chopped chives,1/4 c heavy cream. (see link for prep & bake details). Cut dough into 8 triangles.Bake 15-17 min. Cool for 5 min - serve warm.

Cream Scones Yield: 8 scones Ingredients: 2 c. all purpose flour (I prefer King Arthur.) ¼ c. sugar 1 T. baking powder ½ t. salt 1 pint (2 c.) heavy cream (I adore Cedar Summit Farms.) 2 T. butter, melted 1 T. sugar

Lemon Scones. {I doubled the grated lemon peel as well as added 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Added an almond glaze. Next time I'll try a lemon glaze.}

Cream Scones, Martha's fav. With the addition of Grand Marnier why wouldn't it be :) These turned out nice. They spread a little and don't rise a lot so don't roll out too thin.
