Monogrammed Woolens ---- Give plain winter hats, mittens, and other items a decorative touch with a simple technique called needle felting. Letters and designs can be added to articles by using wool roving, a textile similar to unwoven yarn.

Rapunzel crochet hat - how much would my 4 and 7 year olds love this in their dress up box? Or maybe even to convince them to wear a hat on a cold day.

Seriously quick and great slouchy knit hat (2 hours). Plus the pattern comes with a version for your kiddo that uses up the remaining yarn. This is a terrific beginner pattern.

Rapunzel hat. (would also be excellent with attached tiara, right, kid?)
