The Face of Fragrance | "I know a 'face' where the wild thyme blows, Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows, Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine.” William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream | double exposure // photo by Marion Heurteboust

I remember when I was just getting into photography I saw an image (not this one) by @lukeshadbolt of a right hander peeling it was a long exposure shutter drag type shot. At the time I wanted to paint it and real liked how you could use the camera to make the scene abstract very similar to paint stokes. Sometimes by by removing the location or realistic detailed element of a photograph I feel it can express or evoke a more emotional response from the viewer. Anyway I enjoy making these…

Paredes+Alemán Arquitectos. Catenary Veil. Made out of 2.8 kilometers of bead-chain curves of different length, all taking their shape through gravity. The nickel-plated, steel catenaries were hung by their own weight from four hundred different coordinates, and distributed on the two perpendicular planes of the ceiling and adjacent wall. Again people have already given it a new name: "the water drop".
