Almost Healthy Mozzarella Sticks. We found this recipe for baked mozzarella sticks on a college dorm cooking site. The students who made the recipe recommended low fat mozzarella string cheese because it held its shape in the oven better than the full fat string cheese. The goal is to brown the bread crumbs without totally melting the cheese!
Pepperoni Pizza Poppers Buttermilk Biscuits, Pepperoni slices, Cheese (colby, mozarella, whatever you like), 1 beaten egg, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, Garlic powder, Pizza sauce (inside poppers or for dipping) Cut the cheese. Flatten a biscuit out and stack filling. Fold edges up. Line up rolls in greased 9x13 in. pan. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Bake at 425°F for 16-18 minutes. Use pizza sauce for dipping or put a bit inside.
