Homemade Pasta-basic pasta dough: 2 eggs 1 cup all purpose flour 3/4 cup semolina flour 1 1/2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1-2 tablespoons water, if needed for spinach: 1/2 cup thawed frozen spinach, minced and squeezed dry for saffron: 5 threads saffron (soaked in 2 tablespoons warm water for about 30 minutes) for squid ink: 1 packet or 2 1/2 tablespoons for beet: 1 small roasted red beet, pureed until smooth

yes, I do actually consider homemade pasta an easy midweek meal, but I think I'm just crazy like that.

every time nate and I are on the pasta aisle. I tell him the names of the different shapes of pasta and what they mean in italian. :) he thinks I'm silly.

Homemade pasta dough! Really wish I had a better way to make it than to hand cut each noodle though... :/

Homemade Pasta Dough Recipe - used it this morning & the directions are really good; better than my other recipe. Used half whole wheat/half white. Turned out tender & made enough for 4 servings.
