Quiet spray, there is nothing in the bottle but when you take your kids down the hall you "spray" them with the quiet spray.

Quiet Critters only come out when children are sitting quietly. Then they get to hold one.

February Behavior Idea! This glass jar is on my desk and is filled with yummy Valentine hearts. It says "Love to see Good Behavior". When I see a student or students with extra good behavior, I tell them they can get a candy heart from the jar. When the jar is EMPTY, the whole class gets to play a Valentine Game! They were so excited about it today!

Love this management idea! Here's a bit of what the blog author says about them. "The Quiet Critters will only come out of their "sound proof" container if it's completely quiet. They have no mouths so they don't talk and like quiet."

I'm thinking change "sit" to "stand," hands folded to hands at your sides, and "speaker" to forward. Perfect for when we leave the classroom.

Quiet Critters want to sit on your desk, see what you're doing, and get smarter. (Could remove them from the chatty students; those who still have their "critter" at the end of the "quiet" time could turn it in for a small reward.)
