Peggy Guggenheim with Alexander Calder mobile. Photo - Nino Migliori. This is in the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice. It's inside (as you see here) and I was annoyed by the fact that no air was really hitting it to make it move, so I began trying to blow on the metal mobile to get it to move. A security guard approached and told me that blowing on the mobile was not allowed. Fortunately, I felt vindicated when I passed by later and a 9 year old was attempting the same thing - Leah

First Lady Jackie on a trip with her sister, Lee Radizwell, in India. Her wardrobe for the visit was stunning, most in color saturated silks and cotton, and shaped in the types of streamlined silhouettes. I consider the dresses from this trip many of her best ever and see the influence they've had on my own wardrobe. Since color is so popular for this Spring, I thought Jackie would be the perfect inspiration for how wonderful color can be in any woman's wardrobe. White gloves not necessary.

Style Icon Jackie Kennedy Onassis As First Lady, Jackie was thrust into the spotlight. It was old family friend, couturier Oleg Cassini who put her signature look together having persuaded the first lady that she should use him as the creator of her total look, a decision that proved pivotal – setting the style for the 1960s with her clean suits, knee length skirts, 3/4 sleeves on notch-collar jackets, sleeveless A-line dresses, above-the-elbow gloves and famous pillbox hats.
