"Le Diable marche avec Nous". -------- Albrecht Durer Knight, Death and the Devil (German: Ritter, Tod und Teufel) is a large 1513 engraving, one of the three "master prints" of the German artist Albrecht Dürer.
Albrecht Durer. KNIGHT, DEATH, AND DEVIL. 1513, German. Durer was known as a master printmaker, engraver, and painter whose high-quality wood blocks (referred to as his master prints) earned him the title of greatest Northern Renaissance artist. He helped introduce classical motifs into the art of the period, created what are considered some of the first landscapes (in watercolor), and did numerous nature studies that are still commercially popular today. Period: NORTHERN RENAISSANCE.

DALI’S SKULL ILLUSION STILL INSPIRES --> A skull formed by seven nude women is an optical illusion by Salvador Dali, who first made a gouache painting of it—titled “In Voluptas Mors,” translating to a desirable death. In 1951, he adapted the work to a live photo shoot with Latvia photographer Philippe Halsman
Dali skull: Photograph by Philippe Halsman, 1951. Stunning image, with the great artist himself in foreground. This was one of his experiments in photography with Halsman - often taking hours to complete.Photograph by Philippe Halsman (in collaboration with Salvador Dalí), 1951. It's amazing to think that these images were created well before the advent of Photoshop! The image was used in the film poster for 'Silence of the Lambs'.
