Poverty is at a high in alot of communities especially the black community. It has gotten so bad that others in the black community call how poor they are "third world poor". It doesn't just effect the adults but also the children as well.
In Nicaragua, wars and natural disasters have caused suffering and poverty and destroyed much of the infrastructure, but the strength and faith of the country's heroic people keep alive the hope of a better tomorrow.

Lack of Clout. In the final analysis, chronic hunger is caused by powerlessness. People who don't have power to protect their own interests are hungry. The burden of this condition falls most acutely on children, women and elderly people.
