A group of young 1950s nursing students receiving their caps at graduation. When I went to school we got a cap for "Capping" it was a plain white cap, then we got a new cap when we started our 2nd year-it had a yellow stripe. Our 3rd year we got another cap with a blue stripe on it. At graduation we got our 4th cap-with a black stripe on it. We got a total of 4 caps. I'm a proud Diploma grad!
