DIY Fermenting jars grommets – I pick them up at my local homebrew supply for 39 cents each. They work great with the regular Ball Jar lids with a 7/16 hole drilled into the lid. I use them to make yeast starters for my homebrewed Beer, can also be used for pickles, homemade Soda pop, Hard Cider and Wine
Use whey from making kefir cheese to make these delicious Kefir Whey, Lemon and Garlic Fermentd Green Beans Loula Natural (you can also make this with just salt.)
6 medium carrots, peeled, cut 1T water kefir 1T sea salt 1t dried dill 3 cloves of garlic Place the carrot sticks into a quart mason jar, add ingredients. Fill to within inch of top with water kefir. Cover tightly, room temperature for 4-7 days, take longer than other veggies.
