Axe Bodyspray Ad
Sexy Advertisements, Advertisement Board, Friends, Company, Young Women, Bodyspray Ad, Axe S Ads Commercials, Body Spray
Dear axe, your ad is horrible. Let me explain how: 1) It objectifies women. 2) It tells young men with female friends that they are not “real men”. 3) It tells young women that “real” men don’t want to be their friends, they only want to “tear” their clothing off. 4) It insults men with braids. 5) It is advertising a crappy body spray.
This is a stereotypical add by the cologne company Axe that says you will become a man if you use their axe as well as embody aggressive male behaviors. This does double damage, creating in women an object and in men depriving them of complex feelings beyond aggression and carnal instincts.
RYAN: This is a stereotypical add by the cologne company Axe that says you will become a man if you use their axe.
So commonly known as the "friend-zone" Axe targets the guys who are friends with girls by questioning their man-hood because they arn't hooking up. This is an interesting way of making an emotional connection with their consumers. They first criticize them, but then offer them help with what they "need" to be a "man".
“"If you're friends with a woman and aren't just trying to sleep with her, she's going to think you're a pussy." -Axe” Btw, Dove is owned by the same company.

The others are facts. No, that last one was definitely fact. And, just as a reminder, the same parent company that owns and produces AXE also produces Dove. Remember that the next time they claim to be ‘women positive’.
"Good Lord! Her first day with Stayfree Maxi Pads and she's sticking her ass in his face? Just a thought: he goes up the hill first. The ad ends with 'Too bad he forgot to pack the lunch'. Maybe he didn't forget, he just lost his appetite."
