Queretaro - Mexico.....Full plumage headrest -- Did you know: the Inca required these fancy tail feathers as a tribute? they would collect the feathers off the ground, where they fell after mating season was over. Unfortunately, the Spaniards killed the birds to get the feathers. :-(

March 2014, the Second District Court which granted protection to Mayan communities in the state of Campeche, banned the sale/use of Monsanto’s GM Roundup-ready soy beans in Yucatán, Mexico. The ruling was based on scientific evidence demonstrating that GMO soy crops threatened Mexican honey production in the states of Campeche, Quintana Roo, and Yucatán. At the very heart of its ruling, the court concluded that coexistence with GM agricultural products and honey production is impossible.
