"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." ~ from "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone"

Tattoo planning starts now a “Hunger Games” tattoo! (from artist Nichelle at Jackalope in Minneapolis, MN)

This tattoo of a chokecherry tree (imagery from Beloved, by toni morrison) is accompanied by a quote from the nobel prize winning book…..”i am beloved and she is mine there is no place where i stop her face is my own.”

This is Sam's tattoo from Mark Z. Danielewski's House of Leaves: The main character, Johnny Truant, strings these seemingly random words: Known. Some. Call. Is. Air. Am. and follows it with "Incoherent? Yes. Entirely without meaning? I'm afraid not." The assortment of words is actually phonetic Latin for "Non sum qualis eram." or "I am not what I once was."

Inspired by To Kill a Mockingbird, written by Harper Lee. Today is Harper Lee's birthday! #literarytattoos

Thinking of Inking? Not planning on getting a tattoo anytime soon.. But if I ever do go there, this will be helpful

I think I want a family tree. When we got married the oak tree was a symbol we used, the oak for its endurance, the fruit (acorn) for its fertility. Now I'd like to tie all of those things together with my kids, my hubs and our oak tree all together permanently on my body. :)
