Front endpapers are an elaborate combination of a detective magazine similar to one Holden took on the train w/ him & other period memorabilia he might not want his mother to see. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, bound by Richard Tuttle. Rebound in a beautiful combination of tree bark covered boards with a leather spine made from cowhide pliver. The binding also features wood veneer endpapers. The binding was done in 2012. The book measures approximately 9” x 7.5”. This is a first edition, early printing of Shel Silverstein’s classic “The Giving Tree” published by Harper & Row in 1964.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare w/ Illustrations by Arthur Rackham, bound by Richard Tuttle. Rebound in lamb shiver over sculpted boards featuring motif of stars, leaves, & flowers. There is no title that appears on the outside of the binding. The endpapers are hand painted & are a stark contrast to the white leather binding. 2012, 12” x 9.5”

The bindings were done in 2012. Each of the books measure approximately 10.5” x 7.5”
The Call of the Wild by Jack London – Illustrated by Paul Bransom, bound by Richard Tuttle. Rebound in a combination of cowhide & beaver fur covered boards complete w/ leather straps & old buckles. The leather has a very nice patina & will age beautifully. A label w/ the title & author is affixed to the spine. The endpapers are made of ruled composition paper from a student’s notebook w/ the back endpaper bearing the books title. 2012, 9.5” x 8”
