Imperial Hotel Japan - Frank Lloyd Wright Design

THE BLUE LANTERN: The Romance Of The Hotel ~ The undated photograph of Wright, sitting in the hotel's lobby, shows a man whose confidence at least equaled his talents. Frank Lloyd Wright's Imperial Hotel in Tokyo has been gone now for almost as long as it existed (1923-1968), yet it looms large in Wrightian mythology.

Frank Lloyd Wright Described the ideal entry hall as "feeling you are entering a very sheltered space--cavelike", then it opens up into the living spaces.
