Made this gumbo for Mardi Gras. Cheated a little bit since it doesn't start with a roux but it was good. I added a bag of frozen okra and some gumbo file. Really liked the rice with the onions, celery and garlic. Happy Mardi Gras!
New Orleans Beignets - I won't actually make these because they're the last thing I need to be making. But I repinned so I can look at them, and reminisce about breakfast in the Quarter, with hot beignets and an iced cafe au lait. Mmm
