Roy Lichtenstein (New York, 27 oktober 1923 – Aldaar, 29 september 1997) was een Amerikaanse popart-kunstenaar. Zijn werken zijn vooral bekend vanwege de aan cartoons herinnerende afbeeldingen met felle, veelal primaire kleuren omlijnd door vette zwarte contouren. Hij maakte schilderijen, litho's en beelden.

Placido Domingo is a Spanish opera singer who was born in Madrid in 1941.  He is surely one of the operatic greats having a wide vocal range - primarily tenor but he has sung baritone also.   His first tenor role was as Alfredo in La Traviata in 1960. He has performed at all the great opera houses including New York, La Scala and Covent Garden.

Realizing that he needed experience, Domingo spent three years out of the spotlight working with the Hebrew National Opera in Israel. By not yet he knew roles in 45 operas.
