One teacher says that she used it with her fourth graders. They read it and then discussed all that we "don't like" to do, but are grateful for, as in this passage. Then each wrote his/her own poem "I don't like __ but I'm thankful for it because it means ___."
"I [the apostle Paul] have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength." Philippians 4:11-13
Joy, joy, joy! As a mom this is so hard! We compare children, husbands, jobs, stay at home choices. Stop comparing! Our joy is in Christ! We have the toughest job on the planet, raising little ones to be people who seek God. We should just love one another, encourage other moms, pray for each other, and know our worth is in He who is in us!!
Collect moments. Not things.
