Good idea to encourage and reward reading: free printable punch card bookmarks. Punch a hole each time kids read, and when the card is full they get a reward. Good idea for reluctant readers.

Chores for kid when they leave toys laying around a don't pick them up have it did chore to get it back

Pick a chore for when the kiddo doesn't pick up his toys. Impounded by mom, pick a chore to get toys back. Love this idea!

Also known as a sensory bottle/jar.  One plastic jar or bottle Glitter 2 glittler glues Warm water Food coloring Super glue Add everything to jar/bottle, super glue lid shut, shake well and done. You may also add other items if you wish.

Calming jar-tell child that they need a break and may come back when everything has settled to the bottom - I think I love this idea. Better than a simple time out for temper tantrums. some days I think that I need a calming jar.

Love this! Cleaning Game using ping pong balls. Each person chooses a ball, completes the task, then chooses another one. After 30 minutes, whoever has the most balls gets a prize -- like a no-chores day, or gets to pick a movie. Such a great idea!

Fun idea: If you don't pick something up after one warning, this mom confiscates it and puts it in a "ransom box." The only way you can get it back is to draw a task from the envelope attached to the box lid. Her tasks are hilarious!

I am in LOVE with this idea! Kids leave stuff laying around - mom puts item in Ransom Rubbage box - kid has to draw out a task and do it to get item back. - I don't have kids.
