    "Gak" recipe that doesn't use Borax. I used to have this recipe, glad to find it again! 1 cup elmers glue, mix in food coloring. Slowly stir in 1 cup liquid starch, then knead till mixture holds together like silly putty.

GAK! We made this for my son's 11th birthday party. We mixed it inside ziploc bags, so minimally messy. It was a huge hit. Just plan to add more borax if needed.

Gak recipe This one worked well but needed I stirred a long time and kneaded a bit more before it was usable without leaving ick all over the boys' hands. After that it was great.
