i like the overall feel of this room. that is a little touchy feely but the textures with the white walls and the timber beam is great.

The Slowpoke Cafe, posted recently on Dezeen, really inspires me with its innovative, yet simplistic, use of recycled floor boards and timber pieces to create a cozy space. Even though the budget was small, warmth and depth were achieved by the main focal point-- a great feature wall. The fact that almost all materials were gathered from local flea markets adds to my excitement for this space!

This gives me the idea of thick walls that don't go all the way to the ceiling. Allowing built in cabinets and storage.

Chevron wall pattern made of wood strips. This could be a good project if you wanted to use reclaimed wood that would otherwise be thrown out.

can we "fake" exposed beams to make the room look more woodsy? there's gotta be a diy for that.

love the long narrow plank lined hallway and the way the trusses get absorbed into the wall...

iiiinspired: white and veneer at villa wienberg

Kinda ugly, but charming, with the perfect amount of rustalgia (is that even a word?)
