"Depression turns you into a series of nouns, without the adjectives and without the verbs. You don’t remember where you misplaced your descriptions, your actions. You become: bed, shower, socks, coffee, keys, obligations."
*SPOILER ALERT* Even if I forget the whole movie, I won't forget this part. Scarlet Witch is on the verge of despair, and Hawkeye just delivers this spiel so kindly and effortlessly, like he's given himself this speech before. He gets what she'd going through. And she knows it, you can see that in her eyes. Makes me totally respect him as a hero, the fact that he can share that hope and mercy with her. And ultimately isn't that hope and mercy the turning point to the whole disaster? -E.R.
