Noell Oszvald 22 year old photographer from budapest hungary self portraits 1 Young Hungarian photographer Noell S. Oszvald has produced a portfolio beyond her years, a collection of striking black a white self-portraits focused on form, composition and content. High contrast shadows and ghostly landscapes create the dark and emotional ambiance portrayed in the young artist’s self portraits. Viewers are given only an image and title to then interpret the personal meaning of each photograph. Meticulous digital modifications and editing add depth and thought provoking elements to pieces such as “Prejudice” and “Destiny”. Soft backgrounds and strategic lighting techniques enable Oszvald to stand out and create bold impact with each image. Sometimes the shadow self is so well camouflaged that it can take a profound effort to discover it. We are so disconnected from our darkest inner realms that it would be impossible to discover what lies there if it weren't for our "projections." These occur when we subconsciously cast our shadow on to the world around us, which then reflects it back to us • Denise Linn

Interesting idea: decor inspired by famous photographers. I wouldn't want it to be Paris themed as they can stray into cliché and they can be too romantic but to have a nod to Cartier Bresson's photography style would be quite something. Behind Saint-Lazare station, Paris, France, 1932

"Behind the Gare Saint-Lazare, Paris" in 1932 by Henri Cartier-Bressson (1908-2004). "There was a plank fence around some repairs behind the Gare Saint Lazare train station. I happened to be peeking through a gap in the fence with my camera at the moment the man jumped. The space between the planks was not entirely wide enough for my lens, which is the reason why the picture is cut off on the left." It exemplifies Henri Cartier Bresson’s approach to chasing the decisive moment.
