I still think this movie is the root of my problem of growing up in the wrong generation... somehow, I went years before I realized this wasn't set in the 90s. whaaat

If you want to take anything away from this film please let it be that you should choose your childhood friends wisely! They shape the adult you become!

Love this movie. Enjoyed visiting the Goonies house while on vacation in Oregon.

Trading Places (1983) starring Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd & Jamie Lee Curtis. Eddie Murphy's second movie and one of his best as a street hustler hustled by two rich Wall Street commodities brokers betting one dollar that they can reverse anyone's fortune with the advantages of priveliges over heredity...Great holiday comedy that stands the test of time.

Powder.... a valuable movie that re-emphasizes the need for all of us to have a more open mind, more acceptance of each other's differences, more compassion..... It is a really really good movie.

Fell in love with this series, loved the children, especially Lucy. Lewis wrote a series of Narnia stories, ok?

Clueless - Alicia Silverstone (1995)

Because I am a complete Jane Austen Dork:: Dancing scene from "Becoming Jane."

Two imprisoned men bond over a number of years, finding solace and eventual redemption through acts of common decency.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Such a classic, even if it is one of the most unbelievable musicals ever. Meet a man once and agree to marry him 10 minutes later? Yes. Kidnapping leads to true love? Yes. Having a waist like Dorcas is possible? Yes. The brothers' colorful shirts are gorgeous and the barn raising dance scene is one of the most amazing things ever.

I have loved this movie since I was a little girl. :) and even then I realized it was a little bit sexist. LOL. The music is SOO good!

That barn dance scene is great!!

Love this movie! Jane Powell loved the dancing in the barn raising scene so much, she asked to be in it. The producers rewrote the entire scene just to include her.
