Our church saves the wood from the Christmas tree to make a cross for Good Friday. On Good Friday it is draped with black cloth. On Easter the wood is wrapped (like you would wrap an ace bandage). On Easter members of the congregation bring flowers from their gardens, which are attached by slipping the stems into the edges of the wrapped cloth.
Jeremiah 20:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 But the Lord is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten. 8-31-13
