Montmartre, a hill in the north of Paris. It is 130 metres high and gives its name to the surrounding district, in the 18th Arr., a part of the Right Bank. Primarily known for the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur on its summit and as a nightclub district. Many artists had studios/worked around the community of Montmartre such as Salvador Dalí, Amedeo Modigliani, Claude Monet, Piet Mondrian, Pablo Picasso and Vincent van Gogh.

Dans la rue Montmartre - Paris Montmartre Another artistic center of Paris. There’s a lot of art around and you’ll find shops and artists on the streets throughout the area. This is where artists and writers like Hemingway spent their time. The streets are quiet and beautiful to wander around. The church in the area offers a great view of the city and is a great place to have lunch.
