Do everything without whining, complaining or arguing. Every one has their own jar. Start off the week with a set amount of quarters in each jar. If they are caught whining or complaining, they lose a quarter. At the end of the week, they get the money that remains. Better than allowance!!!

A commission schedule for kids instead of handing them money for an allowance - great idea. I would have done a lot more chores when I was younger!

FINALLY! THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! You do not get paid for chores because it's an expected part of being a family. Allowance is teaching children how to manage money. Thank you, Pinterest. Now I have a place to start.

Uh Oh Jar - LOVE this idea. It was getting hard always sending someone to their room or to the corner. Nothing seemed to change - but now...I'm making a consequence jar like this. Whining? Pull out a consequence. Talking back? Pull out a consequence. Not picking up your things? Pull out a consequence, maybe you'll get "Your lucky day. No consequence THIS TIME."
