When you renovate a house, you tend to keep a balance between the past and the present; to change what needs to be changed and to preserve the good old part at the same time. It is difficult to touch a perfect balance between past and present, but the house in the picture seems to be the best example that it can be done. The result is a successful combination of vigor and exquisite aesthetic, a space that preserved its local identity through many aspects. First, it was thanks to the materials used, especially thanks to the presence of wood.
