Every year, on the last Wednesday in August, a food fight festival called La Tomatina is held in Spain in the city of Bunol. Many people from all over the world participate in the festival where tons and tons of ripe tomatoes are thrown at each other in the streets.

Raiders of the lost arch  At the end of May 2005 Grenoble climber Pascal Sombardier was exploring the foot of the Grand Manti cliffs situated in the Chartreuse mountains between Grenoble and Chambery He spied a couloir and decided to explore further. After climbing a short step he found himself in a suspended cwm, turning to his right he had trouble believing what he saw, a giant double arch spanning some 32 meters. An expert on the region, he had never heard of this natural wonder...

The Yukon - There are no roads in Kluane National Park, no easy way to see the glaciers and peaks reaching nearly 20,000 feet…except by taking to the air. A banked left turn took us up the Kashkawulsh River valley to the great Kashkawulsh glacier with its precisely defined dark moraines striped against the white glacier ice. Into the heart of the St Elias Range, Mount Logan the highest peak of all is mantled with wisps of cloud in the distance...
