V&A museum object . Ladies indoor / dancing shoes from 1735. Made in Spitalfield , london England. Textile-woven By unknown shoe maker.Made with leather, woven tapestry, steel, and grosgrain leather. They would have belonged to a woman of at least moderately high fortune. Most women wore only leather boots. These style of shoe would only have been worn inside. Only leather boots were worn outdoors.
