Homemade Fabric Softener (My clothes are SO soft - softer than with store-bought, and smell fresh and clean. The scent of the conditioner is definitely there. This recipe makes a lot of softener, so I only made half.)
WHAT YOU NEED: 1 Container with an airtight lid 4 sponges cut in half 1 cup of your favorite fabric softener 2 cups water WHAT TO DO: Mix the water and fabric softener into a plastic container. Add the cut sponges so they can soak in the mixture. When ready to use, squeeze the excess liquid from 1 sponge and place into the dryer with your wet clothes. Run the dryer cycle as normal. Once complete place the now dry sponge back into the container of liquid for use next time.
Dishwasher soap: Mix together equal parts baking soda, borax (available in the laundry aisle). Use 1-2 Tbs. per load. Each load will cost pennies. Also, use vinegar in the jetdry well instead of the expensive stuff.
Homemade Wrinkle Releaser...for every cup of water, add 1 tsp fabric softener in a spray bottle...I hate ironing so I always buy the Downy Wrinkle Releaser for $4...I made this and it works like a charm! I lay my clothes on the bed and spray them then rub them down with my hands and voila! The wrinkles are gone...such a time saver ~~ Shay
