BAUHAUS ARCHIVE Immeke Alexandra Schollman Mitscherlich  (German, 1899–1985)

exquisite - she reminds me of the children's book - "Miss Hickory". I loved that book as a child - a doll made from a body-shaped tree twig, a nut head and she sewed her clothes with a "pine needle" & glorious leaves, velvety moss, etc. She came alive when the sap began to run and had to fend for herself when her little girl "owner's" family moved away. WONDERFUL story to stimulate children's imaginations!
