Here somes the black and white diamond flooring again - excellent feng shui to brighten up and activate any space, especially of metal or water element area (North, West or Northwest)

Had one just like this in a house we once lived in - I sure miss it!..... "love idea of entryway....then door into main foyer."

This entry way is warm and inviting. The checkerboard floor and door are gorgeous. I particularly love the red rug and the different sized art.

earthy entry. rustic wood mirror, paneling, sputnik chandelier, and iron console.

Make this a mudroom by substituting a long entry table with a beautiful tablescape on the right side, with a shelf on bottom for shoes and a shelf above for wicker baskets of stuff you need when leaving the house. You could also add boot trays under the bench for additional shoes.

Spanish Colonial stairs and beams under balcony. This space feels great.

see the sofa under the stairs in this foyer - Rather than feeling imposing, this large, beautiful foyer feels warm and welcoming

Great entry - More wood stain around the white moldings for me but a great design.

black and white flooring since we have a 1920's home this would be great in the kitchen or utilitie room

Wide archway with closets in it. I like this design also between a living/family room and an office/library. When pocket doors or french doors are installed in both walls (on each side of the arch) this creates a lot of separation and privacy. In addition to closets, the inner arched nook can house art niches and/or bookshelves. Domino Magazine photo.
