A Little Help When Sewing On Binding by Pleasant Home, via Flickr --- what a great idea!

The quilt was pieced. If you try this on your own, make sure not to sew the strips of fabric together in a rectangular shape, otherwise you will have a lot of waste. Sew them together offset, like steps. Keep in mind that you’ll need the stepped strip sets (say that ten times fast!) going in two different directions to make this pattern.

This would be a good use for some of my blue & white collection. Quick & easy (=boring) but what a great showcase for some really great quilting.

Quilt with ruffle binding. This is BEAUTIFUL! I will have to learn to make something like this one day!
