A way for me to keep up with their make-up work and /or tests. I love pocket charts for all kinds of classroom organization.

Love this! Use baskets instead of pocket charts. Pass out not complete at end of day? Fun Friday?

I like this complete/not complete idea better than students keeping work folders in their desks for younger students

Complete/not complete work folders. I like the idea of incomplete pockets for students so that I can see who needs more time.

Missing Work on a class calendar. Students take their post-it off and attach it to their late work. Good idea

This woman explains every organization system she has in her room- lots of great ideas!

    1. Write names of students who are absent on the calendar. 2. Gather their missing assignments and put them in the folder for their class period. 3. Students are responsible for checking the folder when they return to school.

Use green, yellow, and red colored cups for group work. When a table gets too loud, change the cup to yellow. If the table continues to be too loud, the cup gets changed to red; this means a loss of group time. Students now have to do their work independently and silently. This is great and won't punish the entire class.

at the beginning of every month, everyone starts off in the homework club. If they turn all their homework in on time, then they get to stay in the club! If they don't then they are out of the club. Students who turn all their homework in for the entire month get to come to our monthly homework club lunch.
